What We Do

Our goal is to help you to recover and do the things you enjoy!

No matter how old or young you are, when you need help moving again, reducing pain, or recovering from surgery, our team will take a hands-on approach to help you achieve your goals.

As you might guess from our name, here at Eastern Sports and Spinal Care we have a strong focus on management of Sports and Spinal related injuries from your initial assessment and treatment through to your exercise-related rehabilitation.

Whether you need to see us for recent issues (acute) or longstanding conditions (chronic), our team and our excellent network of specialists will be able to offer you any treatment or further investigations you might need.

How we work with you

Your first appointment will take one hour, in which time we’ll listen to you to understand your condition and how it’s affecting you.

In that session, we’ll also assess you thoroughly to uncover the underlying cause (or causes) of your symptoms, along with other factors that might be making matters worse. Often, these are not obvious.

Finally, we’ll explain a treatment plan and teach you some specific exercises to start you on the road to recovery.

Who will you see?

When you book in for your first appointment, we’ll match you to a physiotherapist whose areas of special interest overlap with your needs.

No matter who you see, you’ll find all of our physios are highly skilled and they work as a team to tailor a care plan to your needs.

Whether you have injured yourself at work, in a motor-vehicle accident, playing sport or at home, we take the time to fully understand your condition and the goals you need to achieve.

Rehabilitation – starts the day we see you!

If you have had a recent injury we will determine the extent of the injured structures and will advise you on how you can help to speed up your recovery. As soon as possible we will start you on active exercises to regain your mobility, strength balance, coordination and function.

At this practice we have a strong focus on active rehabilitation and we teach our clients specific exercises to improve their condition, individually initially and then progress them to small group exercise classes where they are closely supervised and progressed as their strength and control improves.

We conduct both individual and group exercise for:

  • Sports injury rehabilitation
  • Specific spinal rehabilitation
  • Balance and mobility retraining
  • Rehabilitation following surgery
  • Cancer rehabilitation
  • Hip and Knee arthritis management
  • Specific tendon rehabilitation
