The Foundation Floor class is a mat class designed for beginners to consolidate an understanding of the important fundamental concepts including breathing techniques and use of essential core muscles to stabilise the spine.
Exercises involving the limbs are performed in various positions with the emphasis on maintaining a stable, neutral spine. Objectives of the class include developing awareness of strategies to support and stabilise the spine, improve daily function and prepare for progression into more advanced classes.
All classes are run by qualified Physiotherapists. Before commencing any classes, all clients are required to have an individual assessment with a physiotherapist to determine the specific goals and needs of each individual.
Once the basics have been mastered in the Foundation Class, Mindful Movement is one option available to further your progress.
