Newsletter February 2022

Dear Valued Client

We hope you have had a good start to 2022.

Staff Changes

As many of you already know both Lorna and Louise retired last year, and both will be missed.

Even though our team is smaller, we are still running all of our programs as we believe it is important to stay active and in good health.  We are on the lookout for another physio to join our practice, so if you know of anyone who you think would suit our cohesive team please send them our way.

Program starting

Our next GLA:D (Good life with Arthritis: Denmark) program is about to start for people with hip and knee pain.  It is a six – week program of exercise classes 2x / week specifically designed to improve strength and function of people with hip and knee arthritis.

For those who are interested we will also be running a complimentary education session in March outlining the research supporting the best management of osteoarthritis.

GLA:D maintenance classes are also offered to those  who had completed the program, have gained significant benefit and want to continue exercising to gain further improvement.

If you know anyone who may benefit or would be interested in attending the information session, please contact our receptionist staff ph. 8331 0606

Dietary Advice for Bone Health

Eastern Sports and Spinal Care also offer a specific exercise program for optimising bone health for clients with osteopaenia called “Osteofit”.

As an adjunct to our physical education, we are hosting an online Webinar via Zoom with dietician Celeste Schammer on Thursday 24th February at 7.30pm who will discuss the best dietary choices for optimising bone health.

Celeste currently works both at Flinders Private Hospital and Ashford Hospital and has also been working with the Bone Health Foundation for the past 18 months.

If you would like to attend, please register with our reception staff ph. 8331 0606 so that we can send you the link.

This Webinar is complementary to our valued clients and  will also be recorded, so if you are interested in viewing the presentation but are unable to make it, please let us know.
