To our valued and loyal clients
Since my last email to you a week ago there have been many changes in the public health advice to try to stop the spread of COVID-19. With this advice in mind, it has become necessary to cease hands-on physiotherapy and indoor classes temporarily in the interest of the safety of our clients, our staff and the community at large. Please be assured that this is only a temporary closure and as soon as this crisis has passed and it is safe to do so we will resume all of our services. This closure becomes effective from the close of business on Wednesday 25/3/20.
Most of our physiotherapists are going to continue to be available for Telehealth consultation via your telephone, iPad or computer. This is a safe and effective means to thoroughly assess/review musculoskeletal conditions, provide appropriate advice, establish an exercise program or review programs previously established for you.
At present these consultations do not attract a health rebate from health funds and so we are discounting our fees considerably for our private clients. Compensable clients will be charged the normal fees.

Outdoor Exercise Classes
We will continue to run a broad variety of exercise classes outdoors (Tusmore Park) for as long as we are allowed to do so. Everybody will need to continue to:
- Follow the rules for social distancing in these classes and
- Not attend the class if
- unwell in any way
- or have had contact with any person suspected of or proven to have contracted covid19
- or having travelled interstate or overseas in the preceding 2 weeks.
We are currently finalizing the new timetable for the classes we will be offering over this time. I encourage you to take a look and join us in Tusmore Park for a boost to your immune system and emotional well-being! You need to book your place in your class as usual by ringing reception. Our standard class rates apply to these outdoor classes.
What you will need to bring:
- Theraband loop
- Free weights if you have them
What we can supply:
We have a limited supply of these which we can bring to class for you to purchase for your ongoing use in the interest of avoiding cross-contamination. Please ring ahead so that we can arrange for these items to be available for you at the park. These items are extremely reasonably priced:
- Mat $7.50 each
- Theraband $15 each
- Theraband Loop $13.30 each

Virtual Classes in your home
Once we can no longer run these classes outdoors due to weather or further restrictions brought in by the government we will move to an online platform to deliver exercise classes in the safety of your own home via video link. You will be able to do this via phone, iPad or computer. You and your instructor will be able to see each other and you will also be able to see your fellow class participants. We are mindful that you may well be looking for activities to pass the time and alleviate boredom so why not do something to positively boost your immunity and try some exercise every day. We are pricing these virtual classes in a way to incentivize health-promoting exercise every day.
We will have a cascading pricing system as follows:
- 1st class per week $20
- 2nd subsequent class per week $15
- 3rd subsequent class per week $10
- 4th subsequent class per week $5
- 5th subsequent class and over FREE
That’s right, for just $50 per week you could do five or more classes every week!

- Mindful Movement
- Controlled Floor
- General Fitness
- Lifestyle Fitness
- GLAD Program
- Chair Exercises
- Walking Group in Hazelwood Park
We are committed to keeping us all connected in this time of isolation and strongly believe in the importance of exercise, engagement and enjoyment in helping us to survive and thrive through this period.

- Think of ways that you might help someone in greater need than yourself even if it is just a phone call to check they are ok
- Look for something beautiful in every day
- Try some relaxation/meditation
