On 3rd April Jordan travelled with the Australian Ice Hockey Mens Team for the 2013 World Championships. The championships themselves were held in Zagreb Croatia with the team competing a 10 day training camp in Ostrava Czech Republic (near Prague). They competed in division 2B with Croatia, Serbia, Spain, Iceland and Belgium. Overall it was a successful trip finishing 4th out of 6, meaning Australia will remain in that division. The highlight of the trip was a 4-1 victory over Belgium who were the silver medal winning team of the tournament. Jordan’s role was to complete pre and post match injury assessments and treatments, soft tissue massage and specific injury rehabilitation. As the sole Australian medical team member, he also completed first aid assessments and medical care as required. Overall it was a great experience for him and one that he will surely use to build on in future sporting team coverage!
